Privacy Statement

Saint-Donat Casino Notes is a reading site. You can browse every page without creating an account, signing in or giving us any details about yourself. This statement explains the small amount of data that is still involved when a website is delivered to your screen, and what happens if you decide to write to us.

A static site with very little to collect

The notebook is built as a set of ready-made pages. There is no database of visitors behind it, no login, no comment system and no member area. We have not installed analytics software, advertising scripts, social media plug-ins or tracking pixels, and we do not build profiles of readers or follow you from one site to another.

Request logs on the hosting side

To send a page to your browser, the company that hosts the site processes technical information as part of every request. This typically includes your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the type of browser and device, and the address of the page that linked you here. These logs exist to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to diagnose faults. They are held by the hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention rules and are not used by us to identify individual readers. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the notebook online, safe and working as the legal basis for this.

Your cookie choice

When you first visit, a small notice asks whether you are happy with the way the site stores your answer. Whatever you choose is saved in your own browser using local storage, so the notice does not appear on every page. Your choice is the only thing written into that entry. It is never sent to us, and you can remove it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser. The details are on The Cookie Ledger.

When you email us

If you write to office@saint-donat.org, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message. The contact form on our Send Us a Note page simply opens your own email program; nothing is sent from the page itself. We use your message only to read it and reply, keep it for as long as the conversation needs, and delete it once it is no longer useful. We do not add anyone to a mailing list, and we do not pass messages on to third parties unless the law requires it. Please do not send account numbers, passwords or financial details.

Your rights

Where the GDPR or a comparable data law covers you, these rights are yours:

• learn whether any of your details sit with us, and request a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have data erased once there is no good reason to hold it;
• limit the use of your data, or object to that use;
• take data you gave us with you in a common, readable format;
• raise a complaint with the privacy regulator responsible for your area.

To use any of these rights, write to the address above. We will answer within the time limits the law sets.

Links and age

Some older entries mention outside platforms. Once you leave this site, the other site's own privacy terms apply. The notebook is meant for adults aged 18 or over and is not aimed at children.

Changes to this statement
